We booked the hotel last minute on Christmas Eve without issue. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and the rooms were impressive considering the relatively low price. All in all it was a great place to spend a few nights.
Best Hotel EVER!!! Our family of 10 adults, 3 babies, (our youngest grand daughter being born just 2 weeks ago) 6 dogs ranging from 15 lbs to 70 were seeking refuge from hurricane Irma. Our homes are on the southwest coast. After being turned away from another very nice hotel in Georgia because they didn't accept dogs over 30 lbs, we googled other hotels further west and found this place. Even though their policy is to accept dogs 30 lbs and under, they told us not to worry they would help us. Since that moment they have not ceased to find ways to make all the evacuees here feel welcome. They've made snack packs, purchased dog food and diapers, extended breakfast hours, purchased pizza for all the guests, and tomorrow, they promise us a "chili bar". Everyone, I mean every person working here is so warm, friendly and kind. During this extremely difficult time, they've done everything possible to make us all feel as comfortable as possible. I can't begin to say how comforting this has been in spite of the anxiety we all have about our homes, our towns and the loved ones who weren't able to leave. Thank you Home 2 suites. We will always remember your shelter in the storm. And did I mention the accommodations are wicked awesome!! You just have to see this place. Thank you Terry, Tara and all the rest of you awesome ladies.
The hotel is brand new and very modern with luxuries I've never seen at any other hotels.
From the excellent breakfast to the friendly and helpful staff, we enjoyed every minute.
New hotel. Urban chic decor. Room was very large with kitchen. Pet friendly. King mattress was soft and comfy. Iyou prefer a very firm mattress ask when making reservations. Hope they can keep the hotel nice as it is right now. Would have given it a 5 but they need to wash front and rear entrances every day to keep clean and inviting.. Smokers allowed right next to back door.
We were traveling from Texas to Georgia for a home relocation and attempted to make it to Alabama before stopping for the night. After 10 hours of driving we decided to find a decent spot to rest. The biggest concern was not knowing any of the areas we were driving through, while also having our sentimental items from our move in the car... Boxes of pictures, etc that we didn't want to leave unsecured. A quick search and review brought us here in the middle of the night. The staff was very nice and helpful, parking was good and well lit, passerby traffic and activity added an even better sense of security. The room was comfortable and much needed. Needless to say, we highly recommend.
This hotel has thought of everything. It really is impressive.
We will make sure to visit meridian again and absolutely we will stay again at Home 2.
