Stopped by on our way to Alabama. We were tired and hungry. My husband asked for scrambled eggs n hash browns. I asked for the Chef salad and our son wanted a dry burger (nothing on it). After 30 long minutes, my husband got his meal with hashbrown casserole instead, my son got a hamburger fully loaded and I received a salad with no tomatoes and wrong dressing. Took another 15 minutes to get hash browns n only received a burger patty and no buns. Worst Cracker Barrel EVER!!!!
We came in for dinner on a busy evening. The service was quick & friendly. The food was hot and well prepared. The whole staff was alert and attentive. Tables were quickly cleared so minimize the wait time
Our waitress disappeared after we got most of our food, and when we complained to a manager, he did nothing. Not a thing. No apology or assigning a new waitress or anything. Our missing food, drink refills and check were all brought out by various waitresses we were able to flag down. The waitress disappearing happens. Her shift may have ended or maybe she had an emergency or quit. I don't know. The manager doing absolutely nothing about it is what I find to be inexcusable. The food was superb, though. Highly recommend if that manager either improves or leaves.
We had a short wait before we were seated. I ordered their "momma's pancake breakfast" (I think that was the name) with a side of sunny side up eggs and turkey sausage. Their pancakes was as expected - very delicious. The turkey sausage had flavor, but it was a little too dry and tough to chew. The eggs were cooked right (yolk was creamy). Our waitress was very helpful. I would eat there again.
It was slow service. They were full. Think waitress was new. Husbands Niger was dry. My meatloaf was good. Potatoes were cold. Usually cracker barrel is much better.
