Surprisingly nice and clean facility. I have used them several times recently to access Amtrak and everyone there has been very courteous and helpful.
I recommended Amtrak to my son who is traveling from Washington D.C. with three children. I wanted them to experience a train ride, but did I make a mistake. The service here at the station in Meridian, MS is horrible. First of all, the train was late and I understand that; airlines are late to. However, when we went to the station to check on them, getting information from the clerk was like pulling teeth. After telling us that the train would be more than an hour late, I returned home and tried to periodically check on where they were. During the entire time that we were waiting for the train, not one person answered the telephone and I called every 10 - 15 minutes. You people need to correct this, the attitude of the people at the train station really could stand some revamping. When paying for services, some consumers do expect to at least get the courtesy of someone picking up the telephone and saying that the train has not made it yet. This will truly be my last recommendation for anyone to ride the train to anywhere.
Customer service throws southern hospitality out the window here in this station. The reps act as if they have better things to do than service you and the attitudes are horrible. This is coming from multiple visits to this exact location for business and personal trips. I usually order online to cut down on interaction time I couldn't stand to deal with rude and unprofessional people.
