I don't understand all of the positive reviews... yes. This used to be my favorite park growing up and I'd love to one day take my kids there all the time. The scenery INSIDE the park is beautiful, but the outside is whole other story. A lot of Run down abandoned, Drug and gang infested homes across the streets. Because of this there's shootings there constantly and robberies. My mother lives a few blocks out still

Do not feel safe. Frequented by many young black males and occasional gun fire.

This is a cute park with lots of families barbequing & kids playing. I enjoyed the walk I took here & would like to go back someday when the museum is open.
