Second issue was my pain meds. I went to my appointment on a Thursday and waited in the lobby for a good 2 hours for a 10 minute appointment with the Doc just so that he could verify that I am on 4 separate medications. I get my 2 pain med prescriptions that can't be called in and leave. I have 2 other meds in my file that needed to be refilled that should be called in since I am still taking them. I go to pick up meds on Friday afternoon, and medication is not there, because no one had called them in. Call Docs office first thing Monday morning to get my meds called in and the Doc and nurse out for the week. I was informed that I cannot get the meds filled and the other Doc in the office, who I am scheduled to see in 2 weeks, wont fill them because they have never seen me. I had to go a full week without the meds that I needed. The following Monday morning the Docs office calls and asks me what pharmacy I use so they could call in the medication. Monday afternoon I call the pharmacy to verify that meds are ready and nothing has been called in. So I call the Docs office to find out what is going on, and without asking name or anything, I am told that it could take 1-2 days to call in the medication. Overall this place has been horrible to deal with. I live in Meridian and was looking forward to not having to drive an hour and a half. But at this point I would just about drive to the moon.
The best treatment you can get, the Doctors and nurses, also staff are more than helpful, and they will go out of there way to do more than expected than any other hospital I've ever been to, Thank you all and the best of luck to all at Rush
I don't usually write reviews, but this place is ridiculous. From the very first appointment. I get there about 10mins early, walk in and there are about 5 people in front of me. 2 clerks at the desk and one is on her cell phone with a call, that was not business related from what I could hear, 10 minutes later she decides that it’s time to help out. After my appointment I was scheduled for injections for pain. The day before my appointment for injections I get a call to tell me what time the appointment will be and that I will have a $100+ copay. I informed them that VA would be paying for everything. They rescheduled my appointment for a month later so that they could get the authorization code. Today is the day before my new appointment, a month later, and they still don’t have the authorization code because they did absolutely nothing, so now it looks like the appointment will be cancelled again.
